“ A Joint Council meeting of NSCN was held on 18th September at Hebron and deliberated on the historical and political rights of the Naga people and how the Indo-Naga political talks have reached this far. The house unanimously adopted the resolution to reiterate the stand of NSCN that the Naga national flag and Yehzabo (constitution) must form a part of the Indo-Naga political solution in order to qualify the Naga deal as honourable and acceptable,” the NSCN-IM said in a statement.
“Besides, the house also resolved that the Government of India and NSCN must seek a final agreement based on the historic Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015,” it added.
The Centre has ruled out a separate flag and constitution earlier.
The outfit which is holding informal talks will soon start formal talks with the government of India.
There has been a series of informal talks between IB officials and NSCN-IM leaders in the last one month in New Delhi.
Talks were caught in stalemate and informal talk’s route was taken after NSCN-IM has sought replacement of R.N Ravi, who is the interlocutor of peace talks besides Governor of Nagaland.
